  1. Project Canary

    Denver, CO

    One of the earliest members of the engineering team, working directly with the CTO and Principal Engineer to stand up the company's cloud platform. I designed and built nearly all of Project Canary's AWS infrastructure as code with Terraform.

    1. Senior Platform Engineer

      Aug 2025 - Present

      • Lead platform engineering across AWS: infrastructure, reliability, access management, observability, and deployment workflows for production and non-production environments.
      • Administer PostgreSQL across both TimescaleDB (self-managed on EC2) and Amazon RDS, owning replication, backups, upgrades, performance tuning, and storage scaling.
      • Host and operate front-end applications on AWS Amplify.
      • Extended the company's SOC 2 Type II attestation to a third consecutive year.
      • Partner across engineering teams to raise deployment confidence, strengthen observability, and reduce operational risk.

    2. Senior DevOps Engineer

      • Began leading the company through SOC 2 Type II attestation, owning technical controls and evidence collection.
      • Built an in-house AI system that lets the team securely query private company data using natural language.

    3. DevOps Engineer

      • Joined as one of the company's earliest infrastructure hires and began building its AWS platform as code with Terraform: the private VPC network, IAM, and the ECS/Fargate services powering production APIs.
      • Set up and administered Route 53 DNS and domain infrastructure for the entire company.
      • Automated infrastructure as code and built continuous integration and delivery pipelines for software written in C#, JavaScript, React, and Python.
      • Owned cloud security and compliance, cloud networking, and content delivery from day one.

      • Built and maintain TexasBBQRub.com, the company's primary revenue-generating e-commerce site, using Next.js.
      • Helped drive a 400% increase in SEO performance through site modernization, improved content structure, and stronger search visibility.
      • Designed and deployed modern web experiences connecting SEO content, brand trust, and purchase paths.
      • Built and launched Brisket.com as a production content and conversion funnel supporting e-commerce growth.
      • Built BBQHelp, an AI-powered barbecue assistant available on web, iOS, and Android, and architected the cloud infrastructure, application stack, and AI retrieval workflow behind it.
      • Managed production launches, environment promotion, and post-launch optimization across multiple customer-facing digital products.

      • Automated tedious tasks to save man-hours and reduce human error.
      • Served as subject matter expert across multiple 3D design software platforms.
